Everyone loves mason jars at the moment so why not use them for funky outdoor lights.
Fill your garden with...
colourful lights. You can use small light bulbs and coloured mason jars for this project. Place them all over your garden as accent lights or to spruce up a spot that lacks colour.

Egg shells make wonderful natural fertilisers that give plants plenty of nutrients. They're also a very hand deterrent for pests, like slugs and snails.

Make some lovely lemon pots by slicing a lemon in half and scooping out the flesh. Just use some potting soil and seeds in the peel and voila, one unique plant pot. We recommend cutting holes in the bottom for drainage too. Also if you want something bigger, you can do the same with a grapefruit.

Love wine? Put those empty glass bottles to good use by using them for edging. It a lovely and creative way to add more colour and garden appeal.

Did you know that potatoes can help roses develop strong and healthy roots? If you want to grow your own rose garden, all you have to do is cut a piece of rose bush and snip of the flowers, leaves and thorns. Once done, create a hole in the potato (approx. 3 inches deep) and place the rose piece in. Place it in a pot of moisten soil then cover the rose piece with a fizzy bottle to act as a greenhouse.

An ingenious animal deterrent to keep cats, dogs, and other animals away by pitching plastic forks all around. They might not look like much, but they can effectively keep those naughty animals away and stop them from ruining your plants.

Stone markers are a creative way to label plants, being both useful and colourful. Use large and smooth rocks and paint them in different colours. Place them around for a quirky little addition to the garden.

If you're fortunate enough to have an old-school lamp post outside, you can instantly make your garden look beautiful by simply hanging your flower pots on a light post rod. It so simple and easy to do. Add some porch lights for maximum effect.

Make the dirt paths in your garden more interesting with crushed gravel. It's easier to walk on, especially on rainy days, and it keeps the mud at bay. Use edgings to keep you plants safe and organised too.

Here's a lovely trick that you can do to make your garden look like it's glowing in different colours. Transform an otherwise plain wooden fence into this colourful marble fence and watch the beautiful effect when light touches the marbles. It's so simple but absolutely beautiful.
